REITs in Singapore continue to give Asia’s highest dividend yield. This is according to an update published 8 April by Singapore Exchange known as My Gateway Updates. The results are premised on data that have been compiled via a series of specialised Real Estate Indices.

Singapore REITs maintain their lead as Asia's best dividend yielding REITs

Based on last week’s monthly index report by FTSE Group, the FTSE EPRA/NAREIT Singapore REITs Index maintained a dividend yield of 5.13 per cent. This is in contrast with the FTSE EPRA/NAREIT series that shows yields of 3.01 per cent for Japan, 3.47 per cent for Hong Kong and 4.34 per cent for Developed Asia.

The eight constituents of the FTSE EPRA/NAREIT Singapore REITs Index comprise seven REITs and a stapled security. REITs included in the index are CapitaMalls Trust, Ascendas REIT, Suntec REIT, CapitaCommercial Trust, Mapletree Logistics Trust, Mapletree Commercial Trust and Mapletree Logistics Trust. The eighth constituent is the stapled security CDL Hospitality Trust.
