State foreign reserve manager Governmnet of Singapore Investment Corporation (GIC) has disposed total of 1.07 million units in Malaysia-listed CapitaMalls Malaysia Trust (CMMT:MK).

Government of Singapore Disposes Units in CapitaMalls Malaysia
Government of Singapore Investment Corporation has been making a series of disposals in unit of CapitaMalls Malaysia Trust this year.

The disposals were done in 3 tranches over a period of 3 days between 25 September and 30 September this year. As a result of these disposals, GIC’s stake in CapitaMalls Malaysia Trust dipped slightly to 5.61 per cent. GIC still holds slightly over 99.3 million units in the REIT. Affliated company CapitaMalls Asia remains the biggest stakeholder in the REIT with a stake of 36.01 per cent.

CapitaMalls Malaysia Trust has been touted as Malaysia’s only pure-play Retail REIT. It currently has a portfolio of 4 shopping malls properties across East Malaysia. Units of CMMT are currently trading at RM1.51 on the Bursa Malaysia.
