Insurance and investments company AIA Singapore Private Limited has disposed off 2.5 million units of Singapore-listed industrial REIT Mapletree Commercial Trust (SGX:N2IU).

The units, which were held via Citibank Nominees Singapore, were disposed via a market transaction on 12 June at a price of SGD1.28. The price point of SGD.128 represents the lowest that units of MCT went during the trading week.

AIA Singapore received SGD3,212,500 from the sale excluding brokerage and stamp duties. The insurer continues to hold 95.8 million units of the REIT through its nominees.

Units of MCT closed the trading day 0.38% lower to end at SGD1.31 on mainboard of the Singapore Exchange.
