Singapore-listed Frasers Hospitality Trust (SGX:ACV) announced on 30 April that it has achieved a distribution per unit (DPU) of 1.38 Singapore cents for its 2Q 2015, beating forecast of 1.33 Singapore cents by 4.3%.

Gross revenue for the quarter beat forecast by 1.7% at SGD24.0 million while net property income (NPI) exceeded its forecast by 0.9% at SGD19.0 million.

“The properties in Japan, Australia and UK have all outperformed their forecast”, said the trust in an statement on the results. However it pointed out that properties in Singapore and Malaysia saw headwinds for the quarter due to softening corporate travel demand.

“However, tourism numbers are expected to improve as Singapore celebrates its SG50 Golden Jubilee birthday”, said the trust, adding that the Singapore authorities will be launching a SGD20 million campaign to boost arrivals into the city in 2015.

As at 31 March 2015, Frasers Hospitality Trust’s total debt stood at SGD721.6 million with gearing at 38.4%. Net asset value was SGD86.7 cents per unit.

Units of Frasers Hospitality Trust last changed hands on the Singapore Exchange at SGD0.915.
