Mapletree Logistics Trust (SGX:M44U) completed the acquisition of Coles Chilled Distribution Centre in New South Wales, Australia on 28 August.
The industrial REIT announced in July 2015 that it was acquiring the cold store warehousing facilities with a total gross floor area (GFA) of 55,395 square metres for a purchase consideration of AUD253.0 million (SGD253.1 million).
An acquisition fee of AUD2.5 million (SGD2.5 million), being 1% of the purchase consideration, is payable to the REIT’s manager in relation to the acquisition.
With the official induction, Mapletree Logistics Trust now has a portfolio of 119 industrial properties comprising of 52 in Singapore, eight in Hong Kong, 22 in Japan, 11 in South Korea, nine in China, one in Australia, 14 in Malaysia, and two in Vietnam. The total book value of these properties is approximately SGD4.8 billion.
Units of Mapletree Logistics Trust last changed hands on the Singapore Exchange at SGD1.02.
