Singapore-listed retail and office REIT, Mapletree Commercial Trust (SGX:N2IU), announced on 19 February that it has issued 1,917,343 new units of the REIT to its manager at SGD1.2942 a piece.

The new units were issued as payment of 50% of the base fee and performance fee payable for the period from 1 October 2015 to 31 December 2015.

The price of the units at issue were based on the ten-day volume weighted average price for the units up to 31 December 2015.

Following this issuance the units, Mapletree Commercial Trust Management Limited, now holds 35,373,438 units in the REIT. The total number of Mapletree Commercial Trust units in issue is now at 2,122,938,887 units.

Units of the REIT last changed hands on the Singapore Exchange at SGD1.40.
