Mapletree Industrial Trust has obtained a temporary occupation permit for its build-to-suit (BTS) data centre development project known as Mapletree Sunview 1.

The permit was obtained on 13 July 2018, and allows the REIT to begin fitting out the facility ahead of tenancy activities.

It is the REIT’s third BTS data centre development in Singapore after Tata Communications Exchange at Paya Lebar iPark, which was completed in 2010, and 26A Ayer Rajah Crescent for Equinix Singapore at one-north, which was delivered in 2015.

Mapletree Sunview 1 features six storeys, and is located in a specialised industrial park for data centres.

The area, which is located in the western region of Singapore, features ready-built infrastructure catered to support data storage operations of multinational companies.
