Hektar REIT reported in higher takings for its 3Q 2019, but rising operating expenses have taken a toll on its distribution per unit (DPU) for the quarter.

The retail-focused REIT achieved gross revenue of MYR34.1 million for the quarter, up 2.1% from the corresponding period in the previous year.

However, its net property income (NPI) for the quarter came in at MYR18.9 million, 3.1% lower year-on-year.
