The manager of Prime US REIT has appointed Harmeet Singh Bedi as its deputy CEO, and chief financial officer.

He is presently the CEO of Maybank Kim Eng Singapore, a securities and investment banking subsidiary of the Maybank Group.

Bedi’s appointment will take effect within the next few weeks upon completion of his exit from his current role, said KBS US Prime Property Management, the manager of Prime US REIT, on 19 May.

Prior to serving at Maybank Kim Eng, Bedi spent over 20 years at UBS, Merrill Lynch, Deutsche Bank and JPMorgan across a variety of senior investment banking roles involving capital raising and advisory work, the manager added.

Bedi will report to Barbara Cambon, CEO and chief investment officer of Prime US REIT’s manager.

He will helm the REIT’s finance and investor relations functions, including capital raising and management, financial risk management, treasury, tax and financial reporting.

Bedi will also be tasked to further enhance the REIT’s investor engagement across the spectrum of institutional, high net worth, and retail investors in the region.

“We are pleased to welcome Harmeet onboard, who is a valuable addition to our management bench strength with his extensive experience in overseeing capital market and investment strategies”, said Cambon, in a statement on the appointment.
