Retail-heavy REITs were among the top Singapore Exchange (SGX)-listed REITs acquired by institutional investors in 1Q 2023 overall in terms of net fund inflows.
The fund inflows came on the back of expectations that China’s re-opening would herald the resumption of both domestic and international tourism for Chinese travellers.
Among REITs that were acquired by institutional investors on this expectation is China-focused REIT CapitaLand China Trust (CLCT).
