Stoneweg European REIT has unveiled a proposal to convert itself into a stapled trust structure.

The move will combine its existing REIT with a newly formed business trust (BT), aiming to unlock tax advantages and operational flexibility.

The move, outlined in a circular issued on 3 April 2025, requires approval from unitholders at an extraordinary general meeting (EGM), which will be held on 29 April at 4 pm.

Stoneweg European REIT’s rationale for the stapled structure—dubbed Stoneweg European Stapled Trust (SERT)—centers on four key benefits.
