Japan’s NTT DATA Group Corporation has confirmed plans to establish a new REIT in Singapore that focuses on data centres, marking a significant move in the company's global data centre expansion strategy.
The Japanese IT services giant will transfer six data centre assets from its consolidated subsidiary NTT Limited to the proposed NTT DC REIT, which is being planned for listing on the Singapore Exchange (SGX).
The transfer, valued at approximately JPY240.7 billion (USD1.57 billion), is expected to generate a gain of about JPY155.4 billion (USD1.02 billion) for the fiscal year ending March 2026.
The transfer involves the injection of six data centre assets located across three countries into the NTT DC REIT.
