Frasers Hospitality Trust (FHT) has successfully secured approval from its stapled securityholders for a privatisation scheme, marking a significant milestone in the proposed delisting of the hospitality trust from the Singapore Exchange.

The scheme resolution was passed at a meeting held on 15 August 2025, receiving the requisite approvals of more than 50.0% in number and at least 75.0% in value of the stapled securities held by securityholders present and voting either in person or by proxy.

The approval paves the way for FHT to proceed with the next phase of the privatisation process, which involves seeking court sanction for the scheme.

FHT is structured as a stapled group comprising Frasers Hospitality Real Estate Investment Trust and Frasers Hospitality Business Trust, both managed by subsidiaries of the Frasers Property Group.

FHT's portfolio consists of hospitality assets located across nine key cities in Asia, Australia and Europe.

The combined appraised value of these properties stood at approximately SGD2.0billion as at 30 September 2024.

The trust's investment strategy focuses on income-producing real estate assets used predominantly for hospitality purposes, with a global mandate excluding Thailand.

Following the successful vote, FHT will now file an application with the court for sanction of the scheme.
