Elite UK REIT has secured planning consent from Fylde Borough Council's Planning Committee for a major data centre development at Peel Park in Blackpool, the Singapore-listed REIT announced on 12 February 2026.
The approval permits construction of a data centre on approximately 20 acres of the 37-acre freehold site, located adjacent to existing office buildings leased to the Department for Work and Pensions.
The currently underused land, comprising car parking, scrubland and trees, sits south of the M55 motorway.
The REIT submitted a planning application in October 2024 following positive feedback from local authorities during pre-planning consultations.
