Gordon Tang-controlled Acrophyte Asset Management Pte. Ltd. has received regulatory approval from the Monetary Authority of Singapore to take over ESR Trust Management (Suntec) Limited, the manager of Suntec REIT, with the deal set to close on 17 March 2026.

The announcement, issued on 9 March 2026 by Suntec REIT's chief executive officer and executive director Chong Kee Hiong, marks a significant milestone in a transaction first disclosed in December 2025.

Under the terms of the deal, Acrophyte entered into a conditional sale and purchase agreement with subsidiaries of ESR Group Limited to acquire ESR's 100% indirect interest in the REIT's manager.
