Amid ongoing uncertainty in Hong Kong, the manager of Mapletree North Asia Commercial Trust (MNACT) has spelt out measures taken to defend Festival Walk from further attacks.
The REIT’s manager has also dismissed rumours that the property is being targeted due to the fact that it is owned by Singaporean investors.
Festival Walk in Hong Kong is MNACT’s flagship property, and contributes about 60% of the REIT’s net property income annually.
In November 2019, the property saw extensive damage in violence linked to the long-drawn protests across Hong Kong.
