A bid by Mapletree Logistics Trust (MLT) to expand its footprint in Malaysia, and establish a presence within the Port of Tanjung Pelepas has fallen through.
The REIT first announced in October 2020 that it was acquiring nine logistics properties in China, Malaysia, and Vietnam, and a remaining 50% interest in 15 other logistics assets in China.
To fund the acquisitions, MLT conducted an equity fundraising exercise in the same month.
