At Frasers Centrepoint Trust’s (FCT) annual general meeting (AGM) last 14 January, several questions were posed to the REIT’s managers.
As usual, the questions were a hodgepodge of queries on future acquisitions and asset enhancements, most of which have been repeatedly addressed by the REIT in past presentations.
But what was different about the questions at the AGM this time is the clearly palpable perturbation that investors have over the upcoming rapid rail link to Malaysia, which is due to open in 2026.
FCT is a retail REIT that fully or partially owns a portfolio of nine suburban shopping malls and an office asset in Singapore.
